Daniel Mason's Ghosthunter

NOTE FROM DAN - As a special treat we also have an account of the previous visit to Stanley Palace from one of my guests Caroline. Caroline has become a regular to my Ghosthunting trips and hopefully you find her tale as interesting as I do.

We arrived at Stanley Palace at 7.30 p.m. to be introduced by Daniel to James and John, our mediums for the evening. After a presentation regarding the paranormal, James then described how to use dowsing rods and crystals to communicate with spirits, and encouraged us all to try this for ourselves.

He would not come forward and would only watch what we were doing from a distance.

We spent aprox. 25 minutes in attempting to make contact with this or any other spirit but nothing was happening.

I suggested to John that we move the group and the table to another position and so we re-formed several metres from the stairs.

This is a picture of Stanley Palace itself, for those of you who have never been.

The group as a whole mixed well together and I had to go outside to try and understand what made me change like that.

I have been transfigured many times in the past but it has never affected my character. John [our medium] came outside to see how I was and I decided to have a quick chat with him back inside. We ventured upstairs and John explained that the monk or friar had been overcome by a very negative energy that wore a mask, a mask that resembled an executioner’s mask. Now I do know that Stanley Palace was used as law courts in the past but I have no knowledge of executions taking place at Stanley Palace. John was explaining that a mask was forming around my face and his energies were so strong which was the reason why I got angry.

I have just returned from Chillingham Castle. My group of investigators were asked to take part in a charity event for Diabetes UK.

The guest speaker for the night was Davide Wells from Living TV's Most Haunted.
