The group as a whole mixed well together and I had to go outside to try and understand what made me change like that.
I have been transfigured many times in the past but it has never affected my character. John [our medium] came outside to see how I was and I decided to have a quick chat with him back inside. We ventured upstairs and John explained that the monk or friar had been overcome by a very negative energy that wore a mask, a mask that resembled an executioner’s mask. Now I do know that Stanley Palace was used as law courts in the past but I have no knowledge of executions taking place at Stanley Palace. John was explaining that a mask was forming around my face and his energies were so strong which was the reason why I got angry.
As this was being explained to me, John felt a little strange and when he looked up at me his face had completely changed into someone else. I jumped up and switched the lights on. Was this my imagination or had John just been transfigured!
Having got over this I and John joined the group downstairs who were all now ready to continue.
The group downstairs were ready to re-start. This would be the last vigil of the night as it was getting very late.
For the first time we took everyone upstairs and decided to continue with transfiguration.
This experiment is always set in a controlled environment as mediums are constantly talking to the person [as in living person]. If something strong takes over it is up to the medium to bring him or her out of it. You sit and close your eyes and just try to relax placing a light [torch for example] under your face to show any changes.
We placed a chair in the corner and put rows of chairs in front for everyone to watch and see if anyone would become transfigured.
Caroline took to the chair first and several minutes into the experiment and she started to breathe heavier and then that mask began to appear again covering her face. I decided to choose one person at a time to bring them closer to the person being transfigured and Caroline who had her eyes closed, had a pair of eyes looking at us. Remarkable some might say. Non believers could say that the light was playing tricks on the eye.
We then had a young lady called Becci who took to the chair and she appeared to change into a young man with sharp features, possibly a soldier and when the medium asked what year it was she replied 1987. She has no idea why she said this as it does not relate to anything specific in her life.
One after one the group took to the chair and changes appeared to be taking place but nothing more interesting than "the executioners mask".
It had gone 4 AM and although I could have stayed longer it felt the right time to wind the investigation up.
Everyone returned downstairs and gathered their belongings and we made our way back to Southport talking on the way about what we all had experienced.
Daniel's conclusion.
This is my second visit to Stanley Palace now and it brought a new and different dimension to me. I was slightly disappointed with the Table Tipping but other than that there were many instances that i nor anyone in the group could explain. Having spoken to James [my medium] it had become apparent to him that there was a lot of negativity and some of the spirits at Stanley Palace just wish to be left alone and for that very reason would not interact with my group. But yes I will be back there next year.
