I run a Southport-based business called Ghosthuntingbreaks, which organises events on a monthly basis and takes people to haunted locations. Some of these have been seen on TV's Most Haunted. We offer a full night of paranormal experiences - including vigils, ghost-walks and table-tipping - which I hope will satisfy any sceptics out there!

The Golden Fleece - Part 2

I felt that the group needed to be taken around to all the rooms we would investigate so they could be prepared.

We then as a whole group went back to the meeting room and i split the group up into 2.
I took one group with me to Lady Pecketts room and James went to The Minster Room.
Ann [my associate] and myself decided that we should build up our energies before we contemplated table tipping and so we stood in the centre of the bedroom forming a circle and trying to relax and gain our collective energies to activate any spirit prescence.

The Golden Fleece - Part 1

Hello to you all. I am back with another story from The Golden Fleece so please read on.

The Fleece as it is better known is a public house set in York city centre dated around 1503 but could be even older than this.

The Fleece was so "active" a location that the Most Haunted Team took their cameras to The Fleece there twice. Several pictures hang on the walls of the bar showing Yvette and her team there.

Update - Chillingham Castle

I have just returned from Chillingham Castle. My group of investigators were asked to take part in a charity event for Diabetes UK.

The guest speaker for the night was Davide Wells from Living TV's Most Haunted.

More details on this night will follow and maybe some pictures of the night

Stanley Palace - Part 4

The group as a whole mixed well together and I had to go outside to try and understand what made me change like that.

I have been transfigured many times in the past but it has never affected my character. John [our medium] came outside to see how I was and I decided to have a quick chat with him back inside. We ventured upstairs and John explained that the monk or friar had been overcome by a very negative energy that wore a mask, a mask that resembled an executioner’s mask. Now I do know that Stanley Palace was used as law courts in the past but I have no knowledge of executions taking place at Stanley Palace. John was explaining that a mask was forming around my face and his energies were so strong which was the reason why I got angry.

Stanley Palace - Part 3

He would not come forward and would only watch what we were doing from a distance.

We spent aprox. 25 minutes in attempting to make contact with this or any other spirit but nothing was happening.

I suggested to John that we move the group and the table to another position and so we re-formed several metres from the stairs.

Stanley Palace - Caroline's Story

NOTE FROM DAN - As a special treat we also have an account of the previous visit to Stanley Palace from one of my guests Caroline. Caroline has become a regular to my Ghosthunting trips and hopefully you find her tale as interesting as I do.

We arrived at Stanley Palace at 7.30 p.m. to be introduced by Daniel to James and John, our mediums for the evening. After a presentation regarding the paranormal, James then described how to use dowsing rods and crystals to communicate with spirits, and encouraged us all to try this for ourselves.

Stanley Palace - Part 2

His speech continued and after an entertaining 60 minutes it came to an end and i informed everyone to break off for some food and drinks.

After around 20 minutes i organised the group into 2 parties. I asked a group of 6 and another group of 4 to go with James and the remaining 9 guests to go with John.

As i have worked with James many times before, i wanted to oversee John.
My group [or really John's group] went to a room downstairs, a room that leads off from the hallway.

Stanley Palace - Part 1

Stanley Palace is quite a remarkable building set in the centre of Chester just at the bottom of Watergate Street.

Stanley Palace is a 16th Century Grade 2 listed building looked after nowadays by a charitable society called "The friends of Stanley Palace".

I first visited this building last year and could not believe the para-normal activity that i witnessed and i always promised myself i would return.

A NIGHT AT SHRIEVES HOUSE

Shrieves House is a 16th Century Building set in the town centre of Stratford on Avon.
As my group and myself arrived at the building we were greeted by the owner who was also to be our historian for the night. As soon as i entered the hallway immediately the atmosphere changed. It felt heavy and repressive but could this have been my mind playing tricks with me.
My group and myself were taken upstairs to a wating room which was actually his lounge. Luckily i had my cam corder switched on and within a minute an orb floated across my screen from left to right. At the precise moment, our medium felt the presence of a "strong minded" female spirit with us in the room. After our initial introduction i took the decision to suggest a coffee break so everyone could gather their thoughts and re-charge their batteries.
